- Both aggregate data and an ability to drill into a specific team for data on how effectively teams have drafted, which positions teams draft most and least, their best and worst picks
- Data on how often positions are drafted, hit rates and bust rates compared to all positions, and the expected player value by round.
- Fully searchable and sortable player and value data on drafts going back to 2000
- Mini-articles with insights from draft analytics
- Explanations of the various data fields, how to interpret them, and some examples
Some things I am working on to add:
I created this for two reasons. First, to make draft data more accessible to myself and others. If you have seen our blog, you know I pull this type of data often and I wanted something so I
did not have to write Python every time I needed to pull some data. And second, just to stay currently technically I wanted to write web code.
This is very much a work in progress and I have been working on and off on pages like this for a while but finally got the time to clean these up and make available.
I tried to connect this to Philly Cover Corner as much as possible but because WordPress has limitations, this is all here. A link to this site called "Analytics" will be added
to the Philly Cover Corner menu and you can jump to the blog by clicking the top left "Philly Cover Corner" menu item.
